Apple cake with Biscoff
Take grandma’s classic apple cake a level higher by adding a contemporary touch of Biscoff. Your guests will be on cloud nine with this surprising new variation.
Serves 6 people:
• 200 g self-raising flour
• 150 g sugar
• 11 tbsp vegetable oil, such as corn oil or rapeseed oil
• 8 tbsp milk
• 5 eggs
• 120 g Biscoff biscuits
• 2 apples

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Mix together the flour, 100 g sugar, 7 tbsp oil, the milk, 3 eggs and 8 finely ground Biscoff.

Pour this mixture into a greased and floured baking tin.

Peel the apples and discard the core. Cut the apples first into quarters and then into thin slices.

Crumble the remaining 7 Biscoff over the mixture and arrange the apples on top.

Mix together the remaining 4 tbsp oil, 50 g sugar and 2 eggs. Pour this mixture over the apples, making sure that they are completely covered.
